A longer update

Hi everybody!

Well, like I said yesterday, it has been way too long since my last update. Almost 3 months in fact. Well Daddy is going to try to do better. The good news is there are tons of new pictures and videos to look at. Daddy has uploaded close to 400 pictures, including ones from Halloween, Thanksgiving, all the way up to my picture with Santa from tonight. He also upload 7 new videos to my Youtube channel, including ones of me taking a step and ones of me trying to say bottle.

So since my last update obviously a lot has happened. First there was Halloween. I dressed as a ladybug. We were in Danville and got to trick or treat visit with a lot of family that I don't always get to see when I visit Danville. It was a very fun day. I think I am going to enjoy Halloween.

Also that weekend I helped Pop Pop with harvest. I didn't quite know what to think of the pile of corn Daddy set me on top of. The whole process is kind of loud and scary. I preferred staying in the house with Mommy.

Next was Thanksgiving. The weekend before Thanksgiving Daddy went hunting in Danville and Mommy and I stayed at the farm. Then Mommy and I went to stay with Grammie to help her get ready for Thanksgiving. What a great holiday that is, huh? So much good food, and football with Daddy all day. The Packers won, and I got to try more new good food than I can remember. The next day we went to Danville and visited Popi and Gigi and had more good food. What a great weekend.

Once it turned to December it started to snow. Mommy and I played outside in the snow one day. It was pretty fun. I ate a little snow and played around in it for a few minutes. Its been too cold to go back out and play since then, but I'd like to get out in it again when it warms up a little.

Tonight I got my picture taken with Santa. I am really looking forward to Christmas. Mommy decorated the house really pretty. I like the nutcracker decoration she put out, he makes me laugh. I've been pretty good at not getting into the decorations too much, but you know me. I can't wait to open some presents and eat all that wrapping paper.

Well, that's probably enough for now, especially since you have close to 400 pictures to look at and 7 videos to watch. I'll keep on Daddy so that he updates the blog sooner next time. Until then, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Bye everybody!

First Steps!

Hi everybody!

I know it has been way too long since my last post. I have so much to say, and I promise I will post a longer message with new pictures and videos really soon. But this message is just to announce that I took my first steps today! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of me and are telling everyone.

So next time you see me, I just might walk up to you and give you a big ol' hug.

And I'm still the happiest little girl in the world.

Bye everybody!

P.S. Daddy made these videos on the web, they are pretty funny.

Its been too long

Hi Everybody!

First things first, Daddy is so sorry that it has been a month since my last post. He is going to try to do better.

Its hard to think of everything that has happened since my last post. I spent the week at Grammie's while Mommy and Daddy were in Las Vegas. I've been to Danville for a couple of visits. I started swimming lessons, which I love. I've always loved the water, and the swimming lessons have been great. We sing and splash and learn to be in the water without swallowing any. It has been quite a month.

I have 5 teeth right now, the two middle bottoms, one middle top and the two that are next to the middle ones on top. The two side ones actually came through on top before the middle one, so it looked like I had fangs.

I've started pulling myself up and I am now able to stand up while holding onto something. I am also able to walk around a table or whatever I can hold onto. I am getting more and more curious and getting into everything I can. I have also started crawling more conventionally and no longer do that "belly flop" thing to get around. In fact, I have become a very good crawler and can fly when I want to get somewhere. I am waving "hi" and "bye" sometimes and also clapping sometimes when I'm excited (which is very often).

I am a very happy baby, almost always smiling with lots of laughing. Mommy and Daddy are good at making me laugh and keep me in stitches a lot.

Daddy will try to do a better job keeping the blog updated. Tomorrow I have to go to the Doctor for a flu shot, which is going to be a really crummy time and will probably ruin my whole day. But if they take any height / weight measurements we'll let you know. I actually lost a pound when I started moving around more, so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm only 20-21 pounds, but we'll see.

Take care and I'll talk to you all again soon.

Bye everybody!

Happy Labor Day

Hi Everybody!

As you can tell from the updates Mommy sent to the blog from our trip, I had a great time on the road trip with Grandpa John. I got to spend time with so many wonderful people in North Carolina and Atlanta. I loved swimming in the pools and tried my first glass of real southern sweet tea. Yum. I also got to try some of Grill Master Uncle Dan's food. Double yum. But it did have a hint of some lighter fluid taste that Daddy's doesn't have. Maybe he will have figured out to use a chimney starter before my next trip.

Daddy upload all of the pictures and videos from my trip. Go check them out!

Tomorrow I get to go visit Grammie and Grandpa Brad for a week! We are going to the zoo in Indy on Monday and are going to have fun all week. I can't wait.

Congratulations to Popi for finishing his first 5k in under 33 minutes. Daddy is running in his first one tomorrow and is now kind of worried he is going to get beat by a grandpa. Go Daddy, you can do it!

I am also excited because football season is starting! I can't wait to watch all of the Packers victories with Daddy. Its going to be an awesome year. Go Pack Go!

Happy Labor Day everyone. Have a safe weekend and I'll write more in a week or so.

Bye Everybody!

Trip

Hi everybody!

While Daddy is writing this Mommy and I are headed down to Grandpa John's farm. We are going to go on a road trip with him to visit family in North Carolina and Atlanta. I sure will miss Daddy, but we will have lots of fun and I am really excited.

There were a couple of things Daddy thought about writing after he finished the last post yesterday. First, I turned seven months old on Monday! I am getting to be such a big girl. I have two teeth on the bottom of my mouth, and Mommy and Daddy think I am starting to cut my top teeth also (but you can't see them yet). Daddy measured me today at just over 27" long and around 19 pounds.

I am not crawling yet, but I can sure get around. I will raise up on my hands and knees and then fall forward, or I will use my legs and feet to push off the ground and kick to where I want to go.

There are lots of new pictures in the photo albums, and Daddy is going to work on uploading the Dedication video to youtube. Mommy is going to try to keep the blog updated on the trip using her phone, and I am sure there will be a ton of new pictures when she gets back.

Talk to you soon. Bye everybody!

Dedication

Hi everybody!

I have had a great couple of weeks. Gigi came to visit last Wednesday after her vacation. We had fun together while Mommy and Daddy were out having fun. Then on Friday, Grammie, Grandpa Brad, and Grandpa John came to visit also. There were lots of people here and I was showered with love. It was pretty amazing.

The reason all of these people came to visit was for my Dedication last Saturday. A Dedication is a church ceremony where Mommy and Daddy dedicate themselves to raising me by biblical principles and instruction from the Lord. It is very important to Mommy and Daddy that I learn about Jesus and how he died to save everyone in the world from punishment for their sins. Their dedication is very important because I will learn a lot of my beliefs from the way they raise me and teach me. Mommy and Daddy hope that they, along with everyone that attended the Dedication and everyone else who loves and cares for me, will do their best to teach me about Jesus so that, when I am old enough to understand, I will choose to accept Him as my Lord and Savior.

Mommy and Daddy gave away cards at the Dedication that contained the following prayer based on the letters in my name. They believe that one of the most loving and influential things that you can do for me is to pray this prayer when you are talking to God about me.

Heavenly Father, thank you for blessing our lives with Alexis. We are honored to have her as part of our family. Specifically, we pray for her:
Attitude - That she would live with a positive outlook on life no matter what situations arise and that others are able to see Christ's likeness through her attitude.
Love - That first and foremost she would love You, Lord. Also, that she would grow into a person with the capacity for enormous amounts of unconditional love for all people.
Eternity - That You will protect her here on earth and that the Holy Spirit will guide her and prepare her for an eternity in heaven.
eXample - That the example she sets with how she lives her life will be a shining light that reflects on You and Your goodness. And through that she will be a positive influence on this world and everyone she encounters.
Integrity - That she lives her life with integrity, always choosing the right thing to do, especially when it is not the easy thing to do.
Salvation - That, when she is old enough, she will choose of her own free will to accept Christ as the leader of her life and forgiver of her sins.
Lord, we humbly ask for your wisdom as we raise her according to Your teachings and guidelines.
Amen

Just an update

Hi everybody.

It has been a couple of weeks so I wanted to say a quick hi to everyone. Daddy has been really busy at work and hasn't had time for my blog lately. But he has managed to upload a whole bunch of new pictures to my photo album, so make sure to go check those out.

The past couple weeks have been filled with fun. Daddy, Mommy and I met a couple of friends at Arlington to watch Poppa Cooper's horse run.
Daddy didn't win any money, but we had a lot of fun on a beautiful day.

Last weekend I got to meet Aunt Helen and Uncle Tom. We went to their house for lunch. It was so much fun. Uncle Tom played with me and made funny faces to make me laugh. Aunt Helen made a great lunch. I only got to try the mashed potatoes, but the fried chicken looked really good and I can't wait until I am old enough to try it. Candace was at their house too, and it was cool meeting her as well.

Last week Grammie came for a visit. We had a lot of fun while Mommy and Daddy went on a date. Then the next night Mommy, Grammie and I hung out while Daddy had to work late.

The other night I got the dirtiest I have ever been. Daddy and Mommy had barbeque pork chops and baked beans for dinner. When Daddy was done, he put his empty, saucy, messy plate on my high chair tray. Well, of course, I had no choice but to play in the sauce and get it pretty much everywhere that my little hands could reach. It was actually pretty fun and made my teething biscuit taste very good. Needless to say it was straight from the table to the tub.

As far as development goes, I am rolling around like a mad woman. I can get around quick by rolling and scooting, but I haven't started crawling yet. I am scaring Mommy and Daddy enough for them to go by safety gates and to start keeping an extra close watch on me. So far I've gotten under their bed, the futon, and too close to the ironing board. And that is just in the last week. Its fun making them jump and I'm just going to get better at it.

I do not have any teeth coming through yet. I have not said any words, but I babble constantly and most of the time Mommy and Daddy know what I'm talking about. I can sit up pretty good by myself, especially if there is something in front of me to concentrate on and play with.

What I do the most of is smile and laugh. I am a happy happy girl.

Well that is about it for now. It will be bath time soon. I still LOVE the tub and I am getting really good at splashing Daddy. He is going to get it good tonight.

Talk to you again soon.

Bye everybody.

Doctor Appointment

Hi everybody!

My doctor appointment went very well yesterday. They gave me a new eye test to check for early signs of lazy eye. I passed the test, but apparently just the fact that I was able to finish the test was impressive. The doctor said that most kids that are 6 months old don't even finish the test because they get too fussy. Mommy and Daddy were very proud of me for finishing the test like a big girl, and were extremely glad I passed.

The doctor was so happy to see me. She said I can move to stage 2 foods and she is still so surprised that I like standing up. She danced with me a little and checked me out all over. I got a clean bill of health. Then I got three shots, which really hurt. I do not like shots at all. But the good news is I do not have to get any more for 6 months.

Finally, here are my measurements from yesterday and the growth charts for me since I was born. Daddy can't figure out why the charts are spaced so far apart, sorry.

What's been going on

Hi everybody.

Its been almost 3 weeks since my last post. That is hard to believe. Boy the time really flies. I am going to be 6 months old on Friday! A half a year, shouldn't I get a half a cake? Can't blame a girl for trying.

Yesterday I went to the park for the first time. It was so much fun, and a beautiful day. Daddy and Mommy pushed me in the swing and Daddy took me down all of the different slides. I liked sliding with Daddy, but I didn't like it by myself. There was a birthday party going on, and the sister of the birthday boy gave me a pink balloon before we left. I had such a great time.

A couple of weeks ago I got to spend the week in Danville on the farm. Well, first Popi and Gigi came to visit. We went to the Botanical Garden on Sunday and saw all of the pretty flowers. It was a great weekend, and ended with Popi and Gigi driving Mommy and me back to Danville with them.

Then I got to spend the week on the farm visiting Grandpa John (Pop-Pop), Grammie, Sissy (Kristen), Frog, Jake, Braden, Tracy, and probably some others I can't even remember. Gigi took me to get my pictures taken at Sears too. Then Daddy finally showed up Friday night. Saturday was July 4th and we had a huge party at the farm. Close to 40 family and friends were there. Daddy cooked burgers and hot dogs on the grill and there was tons of food that everyone brought. I got to meet so many new people and see so many people again, I couldn't even begin to name them all.

After lunch with Pop-Pop, Grammie, and Grandpa Brad; Mommy, Daddy, and I headed home. We stopped to visit Poppa Cooper on the way and I got to see Aunt Allison and Aunt Katie as well. Poppa Cooper was very happy because his horses had run well that whole weekend. But, of course, he was even happier to see me!

Speaking of me, what can I tell you about myself. I love rolling over now, and I do it quickly and constantly. I even rolled over in the bathtub the other night. I kept my face out of the water most of the time I was on my tummy, but eventually I dropped in there a swallowed a little water. That was no fun. Mommy and Daddy are just waiting for me to start crawling, and have started buying baby gates in anticipation of me being on the move. I weighed 17 pounds the last time I was in Danville. I have a 6 month doctor appointment coming up soon, so I'll be able to post the official measurements, including how tall I am. Mommy thinks I've grown a lot, and she is probably right.

I can't think of much else to say now. Talk to you all again soon.

Bye everybody!

I'm back.

Hi everybody.

Well, I guess it has been a while since my last post. Most of you know why so there is no need to go into it here. I am just happy to be back and to let you know a few things.

I am 5 months old now! Almost 1/2 a year. I have rolled from my stomach to my back a few times. I am not crawling yet but I can scoot pretty well when I am on my tummy (I still do not like being on my tummy). I've started sucking my thumb. I am starting to get teeth (they aren't coming through yet, but oh the pain) but I am still as happy as ever. I am over 16 pounds now. I've started sleeping unswaddled. I am babbling constantly and Mommy and Daddy are just waiting for me to start talking, but I'll probably keep them in suspense for a while.

Yesterday was Father's Day, Daddy's first. We went to Poppa Cooper's on Saturday for dinner. Uncle Andy, Aunt Allison, Aunt Katie, and Uncle Peter were there too. It was lots of fun. The Sunday we went to church where they were having a Dad Fest. After the service we walked around the parking lot and looked at hot rods and tractors and lots of other cool stuff. And we got hot dogs and popcorn for lunch. It was a pretty good day, and I know Daddy thinks so too.

There a lots of new pictures in the gallery on the right. All of the pictures from my first three months are in their own albums by month, and the rest are in the main gallery. Also there are new videos being uploaded as I write. You gotta check out the dance party we had on Friday night. It was a blast.

I'll write more again soon.

Bye everybody.

Dr. Appt. Update

Hi everybody.

My checkup at the doctor went great. She says I'm still healthy and told Mommy and Daddy to start feeding me real food (more on that later). I am 15 lbs 5 oz (84th %tile), 25 inches long (78th %tile), and have a 16 1/4 inch head (60th %tile). Of course then they gave me more shots. Those really stink. I handled it a little better than last time, but they still really hurt. Mommy and Daddy both wanted to console me so badly. I'm glad they both love me so much.

So the doctor told Mommy and Daddy to start feeding me real food in addition to formula. I am going to start out by eating rice cereal during one feeding everyday. After about a week I get to try veggies, first orange ones, then green ones. After another week or so I get to try fruit. I had my first meal in my high chair eating at the table with Mommy and Daddy tonight. They took turns feeding me while the other person recorded it. Daddy uploaded the videos to my youtube channel (the link is over on the right side of this page). There are three new videos: Mommy feeds Alexis for first time, Daddy feeds Alexis for first time, and Alexis loves bath time. I really do love bath time. I always have, but I recently learned how to splash and that is taking it to a whole new level. Check out the videos, they're fun.

Bye everybody.

I'm 4 months old!

Hi everybody!

Today I am four months old. I can't believe that four months went so quickly. But it sure seems like a lot has happened in those four months. Daddy says I am a very happy and healthy baby. I smile all the time now and laugh and wiggle a lot. Sometimes I do get a little fussy, but Mommy thinks it is because I am getting a tooth. But overall I am a very content and happy baby. I sleep through the night most of the time. I have been eating 6oz of formula at a time for a while now and Mom and Dad just started adding a little cereal to my bottle as well. You can really tell I like to eat, I have grown a lot. Tomorrow I go to the doctor and get official measurements, but a couple weeks ago Daddy weighed me at 15 pounds. I can't wait to see what the doctor says!

The past couple of weeks have been fun and busy. The first week in May, Mommy and I went to visit Grammie for a whole week. Daddy had to stay at home, but he had fun. He got to go to the Kentucky Derby and then to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field. Pretty cool week if you ask me. And of course he brought me back a stuffed race horse and a pink stuffed bear with a Cubs hoodie on. While Mommy and I were at Grammie's we went shopping, Tracy came to visit (more shopping), we visited Grammie's Tractor Supply store lots of times, went to lunch with Tracy, Teresa, and Wendy, and lots of other things. Also, we had a birthday party for Mommy and Grandma Betty, Grandpa John, Kristen, Frog, Jake, Alan, Allie, Devan, and Daddy all came to celebrate with us.

Towards the end of the week Mommy and I came to Danville. We visited Gigi at the school where she teaches and met a lot of her friends. And we went to Monical's with Grandma Betty. When I get older, I think I'm going to like pizza.

Then there was Mother's Day, Mommy's first. We saw Grandma Betty, Gigi, and Grammie. I went to a Mother's Day banquet with Mommy, Grandma Betty and Krissie at Grandma Betty's church. I got to go to the Beef House again with Popi, Gigi, Uncle Andy, Heather, Aunt Lisa, Mommy and Daddy. I like their strawberry jam, yum! Aunt Lisa got really embarassed because she almost got busted talking about someone and Uncle Andy turned as red as his hair when Daddy asked him if his engagment announcement was going to be in the paper (he's not engaged). What a crazy family I have.

Things have been a little more normal this week. I've been to Daddy's work a couple of times and to church with Mommy when she volunteers. I get to go to Promisetown while she works in the bookstore. Next week I go to the doctor and then visit everyone in Danville again for Memorial Day. Also Mommy and Daddy will probably take me on some walks if the weather is nice.

I'll keep you posted on how things go at the doctor.

Bye everyone.

Another week gone by

Hi everybody. This past week I got a visit from Grammie and went to visit Poppa Cooper. Aunt Allison and Aunt Katie were at Poppa's house too. In fact, it was Aunt Katie's birthday! Grammie stayed with me while Mommy and Daddy went to see Earth. They came back talking about how good the movie was, but said there were some baboons that reminded them of me, and I don't think that's very cool. But Grammie and I had a good time and I am looking forward to spending a whole week with her next week!

At Poppa Cooper's we watched the draft together and I hung out in the kitchen with Poppa while he played Suzie Homemaker. It looked like a fun game and I can't wait to play it with him when I get older.

This week I should get to play more outside because the weather is getting nice. Mommy and I have been going on walks and sitting on the porch when it is warm and not raining.

Well, I guess that's about it for now. Talk to you again soon.

Bye Everybody.

So much has happened

Hi everybody! Oh my goodness, so much has happened since my last post. I can't wait to tell you everything. First I want to let you know that Daddy is sorry he has not been able to help me update the blog this past week. He had a very busy week at work. But the good thing was he got to come home early yesterday and spend the afternoon with Mommy and me. It was a lot of fun, even though all we did was run errands. Just nice to be together.

Also I want to let you know that Daddy has uploaded more pictures and rearranged some pictures online. All of the pictures from my birthday to 3/17 are in the album linked on the right that says "Older pictures". The main album has all of the newest pictures, including the ones from Easter.

Easter in Danville was so much fun. I saw a lot of people, including, for the first time, Aunt Leslie, Uncle Larry, Courtney, Kendall, Demi, and Drew. They are a lot of fun, and I can't wait to get older and play with them. Popi bought a Wii and it was fun watching everyone play. I wanted to grab a controller and show them how its really done, maybe next time.

Also in Danville I got to go to The Beef House for the first time. I even tried a little bit of their famous strawberry jelly. Mmm, that was good. I heard Daddy talking to Gigi today and it sounds like we might be going back soon, I can't wait.

Yesterday I turned 3 months old! Can you believe it? Neither can Mommy and Daddy. In the past couple weeks I've been really happy and smiling a lot at Mommy, Daddy, and pretty much everyone. I've started reaching out and grabbing some of the things that are hanging on my play mat. There is a picture of me in the album grabbing onto Mr. Pig. Also, when we were in Danville, Daddy weighed me and I weighed 14 pounds! I am sleeping through the night most nights now. And I'm really going through the clothes. It is fun getting a new wardrobe every couple of weeks. I think Mommy is jealous.

Today it is super nice outside, so I think Mommy and Daddy are going to take me out for a while.

Bye everyone!

Visit to Poppa Cooper's

Hi everybody. I had a great visit at Poppa Cooper's house last weekend. Uncle Peter, Aunt Allison, Aunt Katie, and Uncle Joe were all there. Uncle Joe and I spent a lot of time hanging out on the couch watching horse racing. It was really fun. Poppa Cooper cooked ribs, chicken wings, and chicken dip for everyone. I can't wait until I'm old enough to try his chicken dip! And thank you Aunt Allison for the great outfit. I will wear it proudly.

This weekend I get to go to Danville again for Easter. I'll let you know about the visit when I get back. Bye for now.

Easter Bunny and New Pictures

Hi everybody. I went and visited the Easter Bunny on Thursday and got my picture taken. The "official" picture is below, but Mommy and Daddy took some others that are in the picture gallery. Daddy also uploaded some other new pictures from Grammie's visit and some cute ones Mommy took with her phone.

Tomorrow I get to go visit Poppa Cooper and I'm excited. And later today Mommy and Daddy are going to take me on a walk because it's actually kinda nice outside. I hope it gets warmer soon, I can't wait to play outside.

Here is the Easter Bunny picture. Bye for now.

I am a happy girl

Hi everybody. I had a lot of fun with Grammie this weekend. She watched me two nights in a row so Mommy and Daddy could go on dates. We had so much fun together. She took a lot of pictures and Daddy uploaded them to the picture website. Daddy also uploaded two new videos to my YouTube channel: Happy Alexis and Alexis Bath Time.

The weather has been a bummer lately, so I haven't gotten a chance to go back outside. In fact when I woke up on Sunday there was lots of snow on the ground! I thought I slept through the entire summer. But Mommy and I are having fun indoors and anxiously waiting for it to get sunny and warm. We go on play dates and to the grocery store. When we are at home we play on my play mat, Mommy sings to me, I swing in my swing, and all kinds of other fun stuff.

This weekend I am going to Grandpa Cooper's house. He has visited me at my house a few times, but I've never been to his house. He is cooking ribs and hot dogs for us. Hopefully Aunt Allison, Aunt Katie, and Uncle Peter will be there too.

I am very much looking forward to Easter. Mommy and Daddy are going to take me to see the Easter Bunny soon. And then for Easter I get to go visit Danville again and see Popi, Gigi, and everybody at the farm.

Its almost time for my evening snack before bed. Mommy and Daddy have been very happy since I've been sleeping through the night for almost ten days. Talk to you soon.

Congratulations Grandpa Brad for winning a race at the Hot Wheels Nationals this weekend. Way to go!

Grammie is here!

Grammie is here for the whole weekend! We just got back from picking her up at the airport. I really like to ride in the car, but I only like it when the car is moving. When Daddy stops I get upset and encourage him to get going.

One of Daddy's friends at work played a song for him that reminded him of me, so he used it to make another video. Check it out. The song made Daddy cry, but I know its because I am sooo cute and he loves me sooo much.

I can't wait to tell you all about the fun Grammie and I have this weekend. Bye for now.

Popi and Gigi visit

I had a wonderful visit with Popi and Gigi this past weekend. They came to visit me and stayed with me Saturday night while Mommy and Daddy went on a date. It was so much fun that I didn't want to go to sleep. Popi sang me his high school fight song and I peed on Gigi's leg. We had a great time.

Then on Sunday I caught up on my sleep in the church nursery and then we all went to Ikea where Mommy picked out a new lamp for my room. Daddy up it up last night, I'll make sure he takes a picture of it so everyone can see how pretty it is.

This weekend Grammie is coming to visit and watch me while Mommy and Daddy go on another date! Holy smokes, they are like lovesick teenagers or something! I'm looking forward to seeing Grammie and hearing all about her trips to Nashville.

~Talk to you again soon~

Happy St. Pats Day, 2 months old, shots :(

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Today I am two month's old. I went to the doctor today, and it was not fun. I had to get shots. I know that the shots help keep me healthy, but they made me really mad. Daddy and Mommy said my face turned a color that they had not seen before and I screamed bloody murder. My legs still kind of hurt, but Mommy and Daddy are giving me medicine to make it feel better. My plan is to keep them up all night to punish them for taking me to the doctor, but then tomorrow I'll let them off the hook.

Other news from the doctor, I've grown! I am 11 lbs 10 oz and 23 3/4" long. That is almost 2 feet! The doctor said I am very healthy. And best of all, I do not have to go back for another 2 months.

I am excited that Popi and Gigi are coming to visit me this weekend. I can't wait to see them!

Finally, Daddy set up his facebook page to import my posts from this blog. So hello to all the new people reading this.

Talk to you again soon.

I met the Dierkings and Aunt Katie

Hi everybody. Daddy just uploaded a bunch of new photos of me. There are photos from my second visit to Connor, Morgan, and Brooke, and on that visit I also met Maddie, Michael and Alexandra. Also there are pictures from when the Dierkings came to visit. And there are photos from yesterday when Aunt Katie and her friend came to visit me. And, of course, plenty of pictures of me that Mommy and Daddy have taken.

This week I turn 2 months old, on Saint Patrick's Day in fact. Maybe Mommy will feed me green formula! I also have to go to the doctor this week so we will get to see how much I've grown. Daddy thinks I am close to 12 pounds, but we'll have to wait until Tuesday to find out how big I am.

I'll have Daddy post again after my doctor visit. Here are a couple of my favorite pictures Daddy just uploaded.

Catching up

Hi everybody. I am sorry it has been so long since my last post. Daddy was having computer problems last week and couldn't help me until now. But everything is fixed and now I can tell you what I've been up to.

Yesterday I got to meet Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Joe! They came to our house to visit. And that wasn't all. Grandpa Cooper, Aunt Allison, and Uncle Peter came over too. It was so great to see all of them. Aunt Allison had just been to some place called Mexico, and she was tan and had a pretty colored braid in her hair. She brought me back a cool dress and I can't wait until I'm big enough to wear it. Uncle Peter looked even taller than when I first met him a couple weeks ago, I think he's growing faster than I am!

On Saturday I got a visit from our friends, the Dierkings! John, Denise, Hannah, and Aubrey came to our house from Bloomington for the day. Aubrey and Hannah were really excited to meet me and were very sweet. They are great dancers too, and made John and Daddy laugh with their cool moves.

The previous weekend was my first trip to Danville, which is where Mommy and Daddy grew up. I got to see Popi and Gigi's house and the farm where Grandpa John and Grandma Betty live. Lots of people came to visit me, I don't think I can remember them all.

At the farm I got to see Jake again and meet my cousin Braden. Uncle Roy and Auntie Karen were there too. I also met Tracy, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver, Aunt Pat, Aunt Arlene and Jeff, Aunt Kate, April, and Danielle. Plus Kristen and Frog were there too. At Popi and Gigi's house I got to meet Aunt Lisa and Uncle Andy.

So, as you can tell, I have had a very busy and fun couple of weekends. I missed telling you all how I'm doing and I'll do my best not to wait so long before my next post.

Bye!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is Daddy's birthday. I got to visit him at work today and wore a special shirt for him. You can see it in the picture below, it says "Happy Birthday Daddy". Mommy made it for me and it made Daddy really happy. Daddy took me over to the scale they have at work and found out I weigh 11 pounds! I'm getting big.

Daddy wanted me to remind you that he is adding new pictures all the time to the picture gallery on the right so check it out.

Visit with the Haake's

Yesterday I got to go visit Andrew, Laney, Connor, Morgan, and Brooke! It was a lot of fun. Connor and Morgan both held me a played with me and Brooke spent the whole time flirting with Daddy. Connor and Morgan played hide and seek with Daddy, and then Connor and I played peek-a-boo. I had a great time with them and hope I get to see them again soon.

Look at the beautiful "welcome" sign that Connor and Morgan made for me. And don't forget to look at the rest of the pictures from the visit by clicking on the picture gallery to the right.

Visit from a new friend and happy birthday Uncle Dan

Happy birthday Uncle Dan! I can't wait to meet you.

Last night one of Mommy's friends visited me last night. She brought me this really cool party hat for me to wear on my birthday. I can't wait to try it on, it looks like something a princess would wear. Perfect for me, don't you think?

Today I am one month old! Can you believe it? A lot has happened to me since I was born on January 17th.

I got visited by lots of people in my family and lots of Mommy and Daddy's friends.
I went home to live with Mommy and Daddy.
I got a pretty new room and lots of pretty new clothes.
I grew over an inch and close to 1 and 1/2 pounds!

I learned about football and watched my first Super Bowl.
I learned about Fighting Illini basketball.
I learned about winter weather in Chicago (60 on Tuesday and 20 on Saturday?!).

This next month is going to be even more exciting, I just know it. I going to visit Danville, where Mommy and Daddy grew up. This weekend I am going to get to visit some new friends, Connor, Morgan, and Brooke. They are the boy and girls that Mommy used to watch before I came along. And who knows what else can happen? I can't wait to find it out and share it all with you.

And check out this great collage of all the pictures of me from this past month.

Kelly and Dan

Today I got to meet two of Mommy and Daddy's friends, Kelly and Dan. They live in Peoria but came up to see me and take me shopping! Now THAT was fun. Kelly was so nervous holding me, but she did a great job, as you can see below. I got a couple of new outfits that I can't wait to wear. I'm growing out of clothes already, can you believe it? Meeting Kelly and Dan was fun and I can't wait to see them again.

Happy Valentine's Day and Birthday Message

Happy Valentine's Day everybody! Check out the new pictures of me in my valentines outfit! Daddy's favorite is the one where I look like a valentines gangsta.

Also, I forgot to post a happy birthday message yesterday to my wonderful Great-Grandma Betty. What an awesome lady! I can't wait to see her when I visit Danville in a couple of weeks.

I'm getting so big!

Hi Everybody! I went to the doctor today for my 4-week check-up. Can you believe its almost been 4 weeks already since I was born? Well it has. The doctor said I am very healthy. The biggest surprise is that I am 9 lbs now! I gained 1.7 lbs in the last 14 days. I've also grown 3/4 of an inch and am now 21.75" long. That puts me in the 78th percentile for height. Look out Shaq! I go back to the doctor in a month, I wonder how big I'll be then! I'm not sure I want to go back though. I heard Mommy and Daddy talking about "shots". I'm not sure what those are, but from the way they were talking I don't think I'm going to like them.

Also, last night Mommy and Daddy took me to get my picture taken. Grammy bought a package for me at Olan Mills the last time she was up here, thanks Grammy! The photographer put me in all kinds of crazy poses. I slept through most of it, but it was fun and Mommy and Daddy were happy with the picture they chose. When it comes in Daddy will put it on the blog for everyone to see.

Well, its about dinner time so I'll sign off for now. Bye!

I'm ready for my close up

So the video Daddy made for me that I said had some "fancy" editing was not allowed on Youtube because it has a song in it that is copyrighted. But he found a way to put it up here for you to enjoy. I hope he doesn't get sued!

Anyone can comment

Daddy changed the settings on my blog so that anyone can leave comments. Before you had to have an account with Google or AIM. But now it should be open to everyone, so leave me a message.

Youtube Channel

I wanted to figure out a way to share all the videos of me with the world without linking each one in my blog, so Daddy created a Youtube account for me! Now there is a link over there on the right side of my blog that will take you to my Youtube account and you can look at all the videos Daddy has uploaded of me. To be honest, I really don't do a whole lot in the videos yet. But Daddy always smiles while he watches them, so there must be something interesting about them. Daddy also tried his hand at some "fancy" editing and added a song to the one called "I'm ready for my close up".

I'll try to remember to leave a message here when I upload a new video or pictures.

Bye!

I made my Youtube debut when I was only 1 day old. My Uncle Roy and my daddy both have posted vidoes of me. Enjoy, I am sure there will be more to come.
